Sunday Creek Ranch is located on 182 acres of gently rolling terrain located in the northernmost part of the Texas Hill Country, just 70 miles west of Fort Worth on IH-20. Our family of registered paint and quarter horses truly has the best of both worlds, room to roam freely as their ancestors did supplemented by modern advances in nutrition and care.

The land is mostly sandy loam, ideal for cultivating Tifton 85 bermudagrass hay. The decision to grow Tifton 85 bermudagrass was based on extensive research into forages most likely to thrive in this area's soil and climatic conditions, its high level of digestability, higher than average protein content and suitability for our horses. Like the folks at 'Bluebell Ice Cream' in Brenham, Texas, we "eat all we can and sell the rest..."!

We have a small band of quality broodmares with some of the greats of both breeds in their pedigrees. The mares are not a business, they are our friends. We carefully research the stallions we use at stud, assessing their compatability with the individual mare's bloodlines and choosing those who have proven themselves in the show ring and/or the stud barn. Our babies are raised with love and appreciation for each individual's character and potential. Our close ties to the specialists of Texas Cooperative Extension and Texas A&M University afford us the unique opportunity to be aware of research and innovations in equine husbandry as they happen.

We invite you to call, email or come see us, whether you are interested in horses, hay or hunting - we are always happy to make new friends!
